CALL FOR NOMINATION FOR ASSOCIATESHIP OF THE WAST – 2024
The purpose of the programme is to identify and encourage promising young scientists and technologists.
Eligibility of the Nominee as per the Rule 3.3:
Age below 40 years as on the last date of nomination. The nominee should be presently working in an organization in the state of West Bengal.
Who can Nominate as per the Rule 3.3:
Any Fellow of good standing of the WAST may nominate a person for the Associateship. .Associate Nomination Guideline 2024:
- Self-nomination is not permitted.
- Only soft copies of the nomination will be accepted. Those should be prepared as per the guidelines given hereunder.
- The nomination package should contain the following documents:
- a)Nomination Form to be filled in in English and duly signed by the nominator and the seconder. Nomination form in Word format is attached. Download Nomination Form for Associate
- b)Reprints of ten most significant refereed publications as listed in the nomination form under item B(d) (these need not be the top cited publications).
- c) Nominee’s complete Curriculum Vitae and a complete list of publications.
- d) Nominee’s passport size (45mmx35mm) colour photo in JPG format of size not more than 50 kB.
Documents (a)-(c) are to be merged to a single PDF bearing a file name "Associate 2024 Sec Number initials of nominee’s name Year of Birth". For example, if Ranjana Bhowmik is nominated for associate under section V and her year of birth is 1992, then the file should be named as "Associate 2024 Sec V RB 1992.pdf”. The JPG file of item (d) above should be identically named as "Associate 2024 Sec V RB 1992.jpg”.
